How do I delete a patient?

To delete a patient from your NeckCare system:

  1. Open the patient's profile
  2. Locate the patient settings or options menu
  3. Select "Delete Patient"
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Important considerations

Deleted patients cannot be recovered. Once you delete a patient, all associated data is permanently removed, including:

  • All assessment results
  • Rehabilitation session history
  • Reports and documentation
  • Patient demographic information

Before deleting a patient

Verify that you:

  • Have exported or saved any reports needed for your records
  • Have fulfilled all record retention requirements for your jurisdiction
  • Have completed all billing and documentation related to this patient
  • Have confirmed this action complies with your clinic's data management policies

Record retention requirements
Medical records are subject to legal retention requirements that vary by state and case type. Motor vehicle accident and personal injury cases may have extended retention periods. Consult with your compliance advisor before deleting patient records.
