Maintenance and Storage
This article outlines proper cleaning, storage, and disposal procedures to ensure the NeckCare device remains safe, hygienic, and functional over time.
Cleaning
Warning: The device must be cleaned after every use. Improper cleaning may cause skin irritation or infection.
Sensor: Remove from headgear and wipe surface with a damp cloth.
Headgear: Clean with damp cloth with mild soap or disinfectant, or use non-abrasive antibacterial wipes.
Do not clean with bleach solution. Do not use autoclave or high heat.
Storage
Store in a clean location avoiding direct sunlight, humidity, dust, and magnets.
Long-Term Storage (3+ Months):
- Charge sensor to >90% at least every three months
- Disconnect from charger
- Power off the sensor
- Store at 15°C - 35°C (60°F - 95°F)
Disposal
Warning: Do not dispose of in fire. The lithium-ion battery can explode if exposed to excessive heat.
Return device to NeckCare for proper disposal, or dispose according to local regulations.
