What do the results mean? | Patient Facing Information

The NeckCare System compares your results to healthy individuals to identify potential movement restrictions or sensory impairments in the neck. Results are presented using a color-coded system (green, yellow, red) to indicate performance levels, helping clinicians interpret findings in the context of your symptoms and medical history to guide treatment decisions.

The NeckCare System compares your results to the results of healthy individuals. It can help to determine if there are movement restrictions or if there is a problem with the sensory function of your neck, specifically your ability to sense the position and movement of your head and neck.

Your results are displayed using a simple color-coded system:

  • Green indicates that your performance is similar to or better than the average healthy person.
  • Yellow indicates that your performance is below average and may suggest minor restrictions in range of motion or sensory impairments.
  • Red indicates that your performance is noticeably below average, suggesting a more significant restriction in range of motion or sensory impairment.

Most healthy people typically fall within the green or yellow ranges. However, if your results are yellow, especially when combined with symptoms such as neck pain, dizziness, or headaches, it may indicate a need for further attention or treatment.

Keep in mind that your NeckCare results should always be considered in context with your personal medical history and current symptoms. Your clinician will use this comprehensive approach to develop the most effective treatment strategy for you.
