Who should have a NeckCare assessment? | Patient Facing Information

NeckCare assessments are recommended for individuals with neck-related symptoms, general neck pain, or injury recovery, and can also be used by healthy individuals to monitor and prevent issues. The system evaluates movement and sensory function, comparing results to healthy norms and presenting them in a color-coded format (green, yellow, red) to indicate performance levels and guide clinical decision-making.

At NeckCare, we recommend our assessments for anyone experiencing neck problems or related symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, visual disturbances, balance issues, or light-headedness. These symptoms can sometimes originate directly from your neck, especially if your neck muscles are sending disrupted signals about head position and movement.

However, even if you aren't experiencing these specific symptoms, the NeckCare assessment can still be highly beneficial if you have general neck pain, have suffered from whiplash injuries, or are recovering from a concussion. This assessment provides valuable insights into the sensory function of your neck muscles, helping to tailor a more targeted treatment plan.

Healthy individuals, including athletes, can also greatly benefit from this assessment. Performing the NeckCare test regularly can help detect subtle issues early, prevent future problems, and establish a baseline for tracking your neck health over time.
