The NeckCare System measures how you move your head and neck and how well you sense head position and movement. It compares your results with reference values from healthy adults and shows them in colours (green, yellow, red). This helps your clinician understand your results and plan your care. Your clinician may suggest a NeckCare assessment if you have neck pain or neck problems. It can also be useful if you have symptoms that sometimes come from the neck, such as dizziness, headaches or visual disturbances. These symptoms can have many causes. Sometimes the neck is involved, for example when the neck muscles aren't sending accurate signals about the position and movement of your head. The assessment may also be helpful after a whiplash injury, or during concussion recovery when the neck may be involved. It measures how your neck moves and how well you sense the position and movement of your head. Your clinician uses these results, together with your symptoms and medical history, to tailor your treatment plan. For athletes, a clinician may also record a baseline assessment. If a neck injury happens later, the baseline gives your clinician a point of comparison to track your recovery. *NeckCare assessments are carried out by a trained healthcare professional.
