How to connect the NeckCare sensor

To perform an assessment using the NeckCare platform, your NeckCare sensor must be connected to the platform. Follow the steps below based on your operating system—Mac or Windows.

Step 1: Ensure Your Setup Meets the System Requirements

Before starting, ensure your system meets the following minimum requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 (or higher), Mac OS X Yosemite (or higher)
  • Browser: Latest version of Google Chrome (version 70+ on Windows, 56+ on Mac) or latest version of Microsoft Edge (version 79+ for Windows)
  • Internet connection: Required to use the NeckCare platform

Important Note: Disconnect any other Bluetooth devices from your computer to prevent interference during the assessment. Using the NeckCare sensor near other wireless devices may cause signal interruptions.

  • Laptop or a PC with Bluetooth Version 5.0

To connect the NeckCare sensor, your device needs to support Bluetooth 5.0, which came out in 2016. If your laptop or PC is older than a 2016 model or doesn’t have built-in Bluetooth, you may need a separate Bluetooth adapter to connect the sensor.

Tip: If your device doesn’t support Bluetooth 5.0, you can purchase a compatible Bluetooth adapter. Here’s an example.

  • Screen Size: Minimum 7.7" (recommended 24", 1920x1080 resolution, 100% zoom)
  • Internet connection: Required to use the NeckCare platform

Step 2: Connect the Sensor

While you’re on your NeckCare dashboard, you can check the upper right-hand corner for the sensor status. If you’re just starting, it will show Sensor Disconnected.

Click on Sensor Disconnected to proceed.
