What is the Symptoms Assessment?
A new assessment on our platform helps you document the duration, history, and severity of the patient's current symptoms.
You can label the symptom duration as acute or chronic and specify their history, such as from a traumatic neck injury, being idiopathic, or following a concussion.
You can select symptoms from a list of symptoms and rate their severity from 0-6:
0 = None
1-2 = Mild
3-4 = Moderate
5-6 = Severe
The list of Symptoms contains 4 categories
- Physical symptoms (Balance problems, dizziness, headache, neck pain, etc…)
- Emotional symptoms (Anxiety, depression)
- Cognitive symptoms (Difficulty concentrating, feeling like in a fog, etc…)
- Sleep (Sleep disturbance)
Tip: You can also add symptoms manually.
How to use?
Use this assessment to monitor symptoms over time. It helps you observe how they change. Various factors can influence symptoms and their severity, including your current treatment plan, the patient's daily activities, mental state, and training stress.
Why is it important?
It offers the clinician feedback on the progression or regression of symptoms throughout the rehabilitation process. This information can assist the clinician in guiding treatment by confirming whether the current approach is effective or suggesting the need for an alternative treatment strategy.
